Going from being a student to someone students look to as a teacher can be a difficult transition to make. Thankfully, TAO is an all-day event that is intended to help new graduate Teaching Assistants ease into their new leadership role.
Multiple breakout sessions allow for participants to focus on the topics that they are most interested in, such as time management, classroom authority, and grading. Current and former TAs will be facilitating sessions and will even be on panels alongside professors to give contribute their own experiences to the discussions.
