With fall break and the end of the semester just around the corner, make sure you give yourself some “me time” to let your body and mind recharge and relax. Looking for some inspiration? Check out these great resources from the library to fuel your days off:
Film & Video
If you’re looking to recharge your batteries with some AV, stop by the Film & Video Collection on the Lower Level of Morris Library. Although the primary goal of the Collection is to provide support for research and instruction, items not currently in use or reserved for an upcoming class can be checked out or used on site in Film & Video’s multi-format AV carrels. Blow off some steam by visiting some steampunk Anime classics, like Castle in the Sky (Blu-ray or DVD) or Rintaro’s Metropolis. Unwind by binging on a critically-acclaimed television series like Succession (Blu-ray), Fosse/Verdon, or Good Omens. Browse Film & Video’s recent acquisitions to see what else appeals!
Video Games
If you’re feeling nostalgic for the days when you cleared your head by advancing a few levels in your favorite video game, you may be interested in Film & Video’s console-based games collection. Get reacquainted with Link in one of the many games in the Legend of Zelda franchise, or spend an hour or two plumbing the depths of Super Mario Galaxy. You can browse other games available as well!
Books
If curling up with a good book sounds like the right recipe for a recharge, stop by the library and check out the browsing collection in the reference room, which is full of popular fiction and nonfiction, or check out the library’s subscription to Overdrive, for popular ebooks and even some audiobooks that you can download.
