The Faculty Commons book club is excited to partner with the Spectrum Scholars to help launch their exciting new reading group focused on neurodiversity (specifically, autism spectrum disorder) on our campus. The group, which will meet once a month, aims to:
- Build capacity for excellent instruction of students on the autism spectrum at the University of Delaware
- Cultivate a culture of inclusivity at the University of Delaware for all students, staff, and faculty
The Faculty Commons book club will be on February 18th from 12:30-1:30 pm in the Faculty Commons.
Our reading this month is Chapter 3 of Pretending to be Normal: Living with Asperger’s Syndrome by Liane Holliday Willey.
The reading can be accessed in full here.
Please register here, or, if you are unable to attend but are still interested in the topic, let us know by emailing Jessica at jlmon@udel.edu.
