Need to have a quick video conference with a few people?  There are some great free options available to you.

  1. Skype can host free multiple party conferences with up to 25 people, although Skype recommends five. Features include audio, video and screen sharing but lacks built-in recording. A Skype account is required for each participant.
  2. Google Hangouts is an option that is part of GoogleApps @ UD and allows you to host multiple party conferences with up to 15 people. Features include audio, video, screen sharing and a multitude of third party app extensions. A Google account is required for each participant.
  3. Canvas Conferences is a tool that is a part of the Canvas learning management system. If you are a faculty member using Canvas for your course, you and your students already have access to this tool. Features include audio, video and screen sharing, plus session recording.
