The University of Delaware Faculty Commons Book Club will meet Thursday, January 26, at 12:00 p.m., to discuss International Student Engagement: Strategies for Creating Inclusive, Connected, and Purposeful Campus Environments by Chris R. Glass, Rachawan Wongtrirat, Stephanie Buus.  This session will be facilitated by Sophie Le Blanc, Post Doctoral Researcher, Center for Teaching and Assessment of Learning, Karen Asenavage, Assoc Director, English Language Institute, and Rachel Lapp, Undergraduate CAP Cohort Coordinator.

The University of Delaware has been welcoming international students in increasingly larger numbers for the past decade. As we look forward to welcoming 1000 more international undergraduate students over the next five years, we have the opportunity to stop and think about what their arrival means for the campus. Are there ways in which we can corporately help them integrate and engage academically, culturally, and socially?  Are there ways we, as a campus community, can prepare?

The meeting for this book will be Thursday, January 26, from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. in Faculty Commons (116 Pearson Hall). Drinks and dessert will be provided. RSVP requested.
