The UD Faculty Commons Book Club will meet Wednesday, April 26, at 12:00 p.m., to discuss Small Teaching : Everyday Lessons from the Science of Learning by James Lang. This session will be facilitated by Kathy Langan Pusecker, Interim Director of The Center for Teaching & Assessment of Learning.

James Lang has agreed to provide the interactive keynote presentation at the 2017 Summer Faculty Institute on May 30th. In his book, James Lang provides a number of practical ideas for faculty to consider adopting to enhance learning and make teaching more purposeful.

Limited free copies of the book will be awarded to participants based upon registration and winners will be contacted via email.

In addition, a printed copy may be available for loan from the UD Library. The library also has a book on reserve behind the Morris Library Circulation and Reserve Desk which can be checked out. The book club reserve course is called FCOM 999 (Faculty Commons Book Club). Give the Circulation and Reserve staff the call number or ask for assistance in looking up the call number. The loan period is three days in order to make it available to as many borrowers as possible during the next few weeks.

The meeting for this book will be Wednesday, April 26, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. in Faculty Commons (116 Pearson Hall). Drinks and dessert will be provided. RSVP requested.
