The spring semester is just around the corner, and as your finishing up your never-ending to-do-list don’t forget to add these 3 items–we promise that your semester will go a lot smoother if you get them done now!
#1 Sign up for UD Capture
UD Capture is an automatic classroom capture system that records traditional classroom meetings for online use. The best part: there’s no extra set up or new equipment to learn! Register your course(s) for UD Capture by noon on Friday, February 2 to ensure that all of your sessions are recorded.
Don’t forget to check out these tips for improving the quality of your UD Capture recordings.
Think you’ve already requested UD Capture? Double-check here.
#2 Attend a pre-semester classroom orientation
University Media Services is hosting several sessions to help you “get to know your classroom” (AND, you could win an iPad!). Register by emailing jdricken@udel.edu (though walk-ins are welcome). Dates and times listed below.
DON’T FORGET TO BRING YOUR LAPTOP OR TABLET!
January 31 @ 10:30 a.m. | Gore 223
February 1 @ 10:30 a.m. & 2:30 p.m. | Gore 223
February 2 @ 10:30 a.m. & 2:00 p.m. | Gore 103
#3 Review your syllabus with the syllabus template
The syllabus is likely one of the first things you will distribute to your students and it can set the tone for the whole semester. Make sure your syllabus puts you on the right track with the UD Syllabus Template. This easy to use tool comes complete with a step-by-step instructional video to help get you started.
