The annual Tech Fair has gotten a face-lift and a new name–Tech Open House! This year you can look forward to a brand-new setup that includes a Discovery Zone, an Innovation Alley, and quick Tech Byte presentations to introduce you to different technology offerings across UD.
This year you can find several Faculty Commons partners sharing their technology goodies. Stop by and take these tools for a test drive and talk with the experts on how you can use these tools in your courses!
REGISTER FOR THE TECH OPEN HOUSE
Here are 3 must-do’s at this year’s Tech Open House:
1. Learn about Zoom videoconferencing.
Zoom is coming to campus! By the end of this year faculty, staff, and students at UD will all have a free Zoom account. Discover the features and benefits of Zoom and how Zoom can make your life easier.
2. Sit in the red chair (and get your Canvas questions answered)
If you haven’t had a chance to sit in the famous Faculty Commons red chair–now is your chance! After you’ve taken the chair for a spin (literally), get help with your Transition to Canvas (or, if you are already using Canvas, just pick up some more useful tools and tricks).
3. Try Virtual Reality on for size
Our partner, Professional and Continuing Studies, is bringing virtual reality to this year’s Tech Open House. Find out what all the fuss is about and discover how you can bring VR into your classroom.
