Our sandbox classroom just got tricked out with all sorts of new tech gear. Interested in learning what benefits these additions will provide? If yes, then read on!

Dual Connectivity
A new data projector helps to deliver the traditional presentation experience. Presenters have the opportunity to link in through one of two connection plates located on either side of the projection screen. Additionally, the newly added BARCO Clickshare system allows two presenters to connect wirelessly.
Increased Audio Range
The UD Capture system received a makeover. The sandbox area now contains four ceiling mics, improving perceived audio from presenters and audience members. A new auto-tracking camera is available to record presentations at the glass board.
Improved Visual Display
The 70” DELL touch flat panel replaces the previous 68” SMART monitor and delivers more crisp visuals. An intel NUC drives the display and allows smaller groups to meet.
Seamless Content Sharing
Perhaps the most exciting addition is the ability to share content from the sandbox area with all other digital displays. For example, this would work well with workshops that split the audience into smaller groups during the presentation. They could reconvene as a whole during a later segment of the presentation.
Please contact the Faculty Commons at 831-0640 if you would like to tour the space, or reserve it for your next event.
Thank you to IT UMS for managing the project from start to finish. Staff from their group designed and installed the A/V upgrades to the existing system.
